Originally born in Durham, but raised in the mountains of South Carolina. My parents were Camp directors for various Christian camps for about 25+ years of my life. Absolute loved it and miss being in that atmosphere. Just beautiful. Toured in bands for a handful of years. Moved to Wilmington and met my wife, which we have been married 19 years now. Relocated to the area about 15 years ago. Opening the store has been a ton of work, but very rewarding as well. I couldn’t ask for a better staff to help keep me sane. Love them and hope to keep them on as long as possible. Look forward to seeing what the future holds and continuing to grow with the community!

I grew up in the Wendell area and have been married to my wife Carlee for 5 years. I started playing guitar when I was 13 and I also play banjo, bass guitar, upright bass, ukulele, and piano. Since 2014, I’ve taught music lessons locally in the Raleigh area. I really love going to concerts and by my best estimate, I would say that i’ve been to close to 125 shows since I started going regularly in 2013.

My name is Emily! I’m from Colorado but have lived in North Carolina for most of my life. I’ve been creating art in pretty much every medium and form since before I could speak. I run Black Lagoon Art & Glass, The Handmade Haunt, and Pawsitively NC. I’m a strong advocate for animal adoption, welfare, and living a vegan lifestyle.
